About

Seawise ECO Solutions provides marine ecology consultancy services in research and monitoring, marine spatial planning, and biodiversity conservation. As a small, independent consultancy, I enjoy collaborating with partners to deliver sound, science‑based marine ecological advice across a wide range of projects that support the development of sustainable marine ecosystems.

As a senior marine ecologist, I act as a technical manager and scientific advisor for a wide range of marine ecological projects. My expertise includes developing and implementing research and monitoring plans, preparing Natura 2000 management plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, Water Framework Directive (WFD) target analyses, and other products essential to the management of marine protected areas.

I have worked in the unique UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea, since 2012, and have also gained international experience along the Atlantic coasts of Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, and Wales. My primary species expertise lies in shellfish within intertidal habitats, but I have also worked extensively with fish, birds, and marine mammals.

The breadth of knowledge and experience I have gained as a scientist, nature protection manager, and consultant allows me to provide well‑founded, practical advice across the diverse projects I support for partners and clients. For more information on previous projects, please download my CV here.
